I am taking baby steps of Digital Photography with my new Canon EOS 400D Digital SLR Camera. So, showing off what I studied from its User Manual. All photos are taken using the pre-programmed modes in it...
Till now I haven't graduated into manual mode... like pros do...
May be these will increase my confidence to move on to that level....

my husband didnt go out and crawl in b/w rocks in 7deg C...
my husband wasnt stared at by my neighbors for crawling under rose bush where ants bit me...
my husband didnt look like a idiot, walking all around the neighbourhood with a camera, trying to look "sane"
my husband didnt wait for hrs waiting for the kids to leave the bridge..
my husband just made me pose...thats all he did...though he took half an hr, to make me stand in that pose..LOL
u shud have been more sympathetic towards my attempts... ***sniffs***
clooney looneysss......same here...
anooj: in fact my husband says the same thing too.... if he had this camera b4 marrg he would have got *^&*^*^*^*.....is what he says... but what i say is that, if i had this camera b4 marrg i would have straightforward gone for Abhishek Bachan . .... yenthinu kurakkanam!!!
(if i need Lorenzo Lamas then i must have to get a lot more air-brushing done on my photos!!!)
are u sure u dont need any more air-brushing?????? ***winks****
Mina: thanks..dear...its very beautiful and picturesque here... i wouldnt say serene..cos lately we have a serial rapist lurking in our town streets now.... so, dont be fooled by beauty! btw, you are always welcome here...
anoop: yeshhhh.... 18-55 lens. shifting to manual, i need more competence for that... it has been only 2 days...since i started with this.. daaanks...again!
Left handed 'gombliment' - atre ullu ;-)..instead of saying you look lovely in that pic.....your photography skills are very good.....(gosh you didn't have to get so 'drama mamma' to get me to say that!!!) :-)

ReplyDeleteYou are trying out on Canon 400 rt? I'm trying out my new Nikon 400DX, hehe!
Just like you, I haven't tried my hands yet into the manual mode!
Experiment and go on clicking and share more pics on the blog, Swathi.
Happy clicking..!
for profesional for brushing assistance i have already requested assistance from Sabiha di... so that issue is sorted out, now to get a photo with deadly looks, i need ur camera... u know i dont intend to do the same mistake as ur husband... Who knows if i may get some one having the looks of Aishwarya Rai or Catherene Zeta Jones..

ReplyDeleteNice Pics...
ReplyDeleteFirst of all thanks for posting in Photobucket.
ReplyDeleteYou are a nice photographer and your hubby is better.
It is evident that you followed the Manual since you have written, Photography ::"Subject"
Hey that picture of you wasn't there when I last checked! You look lovely Swathi. Serial rapist - that is scary. I can't say I know what lurks in our neck of the woods after dark - and I hesitate to wander out on my own unless I have to.
ReplyDeleteNow that you are becoming an accomplished photographer, it would be great to see some more pictures of hte things you write. My absolute favourite was the 'payaa' one which I still trip on thinking about.
nice snaps.you look good in both snaps
ReplyDeleteNice pics swathi....congrats for new camera...
ReplyDeletefor taking good photo it is necessary to find good angle.
ReplyDeletethe third and the forth are good ones.
I thought I had left a comment but I guess I was mistaken.
ReplyDeleteI must say for starter you are doing a good job. You certainly have a knack for photography. Now with this SLR there will be no stopping. Just remember a picture tells a story and what makes a good picture is good composition. So angle, light, clarity all matter equally. Once you get comfortable move to Manual settings and play with Aperture, Shutter speed, ISO value etc... you can really be creative there.
I was thinking of posting a photo tutorial blog, but can't seem to find time to write one. Perhaps I should...
In the meanwhile experiment with your new camera. And keep posting the pictures.
Excellent snaps......keep them coming..
ReplyDeleteHei Swathi
ReplyDeleteGood photos - seriously good so they are.
Well done. Keep clicking...
Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteNice pictures :)
