To Dronacharya------From Ekalavya

One day in late December, I was going through  certain blogs. As I was very new and had zero idea about blogging, I started from one friend(I had only one friend at that time) and traversed to a friend of his/her to another and just went on. I used to do it all time, but never ended it anything that caught my eye. I was almost ready to quit blogging for my life, when I noticed a blog. I don't remember how exactly I bumped into it. I read the comment on the blog, before reading the blog.

One of comments in that blog was sort of "..this  is old wine in new jar...". This single line, caught my eye and I began to explore. I read a simple, honest and very-near-to-the-life-kind of  narration. There was a photo of a guy and a gal and narration about an odd marriage. After I read it, my first thot was "Isnt the girl crazy??? Who would do this kind of foolishness, in 21 St century?". But what I more thot was "Isnt the boy crazy? Why did he just did that, w/o any serious thinking?" I first thot, they must be kidding...but then I read it again and again....and VOILA !!!! "This is a true incident!" I was thunder-struck. In the past 8 yrs of browsing, I can swear by God, that I never expected to find a person who says truth, who doesn't hide from others, who uses his own name, and who says aloud "I did" (with complete truth), in the Internet.  And here finally,I found one. Then I began to know more about the author. Is the person Indian?(looked so!) and how come the author is so courageous, likewise 1000 questions came into my mind.

But I thot of waiting and watching the author's future blogs. Meantime, I had a job-interview and tried to share it (only partly) in my blog (first true incident, in my blog). And I got this person's comment in my blog (I havent even commented on the person's blog, yet!). I thot "why, this person is commenting? I didn't do anything nice to him???". And it went on, comments increased in number. (I was a very new blogger, and "trusting others" is a very big hurdle to me, even in real life).

Reading that person's blogs forced me to trust the author, cos I could feel the raw edge of truth in all those blogs. I thot, I can also be honest, there are ppl who ARE honest here, and honesty is recognised too. I value honesty, so much so that, if any one called me "liar", I would have killed myself. So inorder to avoid that doubt, I never opened my heart to anyone or anything. I was safe, in my own shell.

This person (unknowingly) pulled me out of my shell. It was a kind of freedom for me. Freedom to be frank, freedom to be courageous, and freedom to write my heart out. I started by hesitating a little to unveil myself completely, but soon, it transformed into a CELEBRATION OF TRUTH. I have never celebrated truth, so much in my life! That blog (author's truth!) did not only made me a blogger , but changed my life, attitude and perspective towards the whole Internet. Its now a society of friends to me, its not a sea of mask-worn people, who has multiple-personalities (there are still, ppl like them!). But there are ALSO ppl like my favourite blogger. That simple thot makes my life, happy!

Only once, I got a comment that I was lying and even the photos of mine, were not mine (chanakya). I deleted the comment cos, it questioned my identity(even while being true!)

Till now, when one  day I don't see my fav blogger's update, I feel bad!

That's she, Madhu, The HOney  and my madhooo...

This is not a simple flattery, to gain anything...this is my testimony to the person who taught me to  CELEBRATE TRUTH!.

Note:about the title, its the story from Mahabharatha. "Dronacharya" is the official guru of "pandavas" and illegal (non-official ) guru of "ekalavya".  Ekalavya studied things from Dronacharya, w/o his knowledge, but he finally gave his own thumb as "gurudakshina".

  4. Swathi...
Your article is Gripping and when I could know the name of the person I felt very happy as Madhu deserves it. I started communicating or commuting to her blog only few weeks back but she is very good frank/honest blogger and I dont know how she manages, She comments most of my blogs and that too with perfect interest and analysis. She boldly says what she wants to say without any hesitation________Balaji

  5. you surprise me again with your way of explaining complexity with simplicity. i was flattened by the title "Drona - ekaa.." and the content that followed it.
no doubt madhu deserves the title, and she is honest to the bottom of her heart. i came in touch with tanvi's blogs first and from the comments i read madhu's blogs
they both are queens(credit divya) of 360, and believe me if you and taniya continue at this pace you both are going to join this gang of queens. lol too many queens there is a king also whose blogs i read everyday he is none other than chandra.

dont know if this is coincidence but i have to admit that when the wife's are rocking (tanvi, madhu and you) the husbands are docking, hehe no offence guys just letting my observation out of my dumbness and i know that me too is in docking mode.

  6. swati i should have written when queens are rocking kings are docking. brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr....

  8. So true..I have faced the smae situation many times. Initially many a times, I was confused if I should tell the complete truth, but then I realised that only with the pure truth, I can do justice to my words here. My confidence was boosted a lot after seeing your and Madhu's blog. My writeup for DJ on her birthday could be possible after that only. And beleive me that one writeup has given me so much of pleasure.

  9. The opposite of a correct statement is a false statement. But the opposite of a profound truth may well be another profound truth. All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered, the point is to discover them. Swathi ur discovery about Madhu is great and she deserves it.

  10. And as a personal friend of madhu, i want to add something here
"She is a open book...she never hides any secrets of hers. But if u share your secrets with her, she never lets a third person know abt it at any cost"
I know few people who started blogging because of her..me, prakash, arvind, ravi, ranjith, asheelsh, chanakya, sugumar, and so many
And i know so many friends from her list are blogging just because of her comments. Being her friend I always regret that best pages like hers havent been included in "interesting pages in yahoo". unfortunately i went through few interesting pages of yahoo which are not at all better than madhu's. Compared to madhu's no one can give 40% credit marks to few of intersting pages. I wonder how is yahoo selecting those kinda pages as the best ones. And how come only less than 30 pages are interesting among millions
P.S : nothing here to think i m over praising her, being her friend

  11. Swathi, when i started to read this post of urs, 1st person that came into my mind (as the author of ur inspration)was Madhu, she was my inspiration to start blogging too.She only speaks truth in her blogs and i admire her for this. I admire u for speaking only the truth too, u always post stories from ur life, i really love ur way of telling things it always caughts me into the story.

I had the same problem as u, i was closed in my shell, thinking that all ppl can hurt and lie but i donno how with time i managed with this problem and when i started blogging (not only forwarding messages as i used to), i was very happy to find so many others who also speak with the truth.

Note:i guess we think the same in the same time, we both updated our blogs within a short difference of time, and we both mention Madhu as our 1st inspiration for blogging, this is great

Keep blogging Swathi!!!, speak only the truth, u r doing a great work

    With Love,
    Tanu

  12. JYOTHI---thanks for supporting me.as u have said, all comments and blogs, mutually enhance each other.posting comments is equally good as posting blogs.

CHANDRA---thanks alot.yday, iwas chatting with Ravi, and i told him i plan to write this, and even told him the title, what do u think? and he told, Go,on..we are all with u..and thus, it came. but before that, i had told madhoo, casually that i will write abt u,last month.this is that promise!

    SHANDA(GEEK...)---thank alot..i know u write truth and ie y i visit ur blogs,very often.

BALAJI---thanks alot..i support comlpetely with all what u said about madhoo..

KISHOR---thanks again..though, they r crowned queens,by divya, i still think madhoo didnt get what she deserve (at least officially), but i know, she is the most popular in y360.

i dont know abt nani or sachin. but my husband, hates anything other than tech books.he wont even read/comment my(others) blogs (did only once, when i asked him to read).so dont expect him to rock(or even show up!).

PRAVEEN---thanks alot..is not the simple blogging...its the matter of trust, u know..it makes difference to ppl.

PRITS--yea, i remember that, birthday of DJ.it was ur best one. though u feel afraid of truth, dont u now know its power?

ARAVIND---thanks alot. i know u will be the only person, whose critical comments, matters to me alot..

DIVYA--what u have told is true. i myself have told so many things to madhoo,w/o hesitation for a sec, cos of the trust i felt.her blog is like "commercial film".they r appreciated by ppl but avoided by "critics".i have asked the same qstn of urs to myself, so many times.

TANIYA--i know we share some things in common. this "trust problem" and i think i know, the reason behind it,also.i didnt know madhoo inspired u too..good! now,i am ur regular reader and my first testimony was to u..thanks alot..

  13. FRIENDS, i asked madhoo, not to comment on this, cos i want this dedicated to her...if she comments,it may turn into an answer for flattery and as this is not flattery, i dont want that...

  14. swathi you have did a great job blog by writing about her which i think i should have done by myself long back.i take this as a oppurtunity to add my views also.still i'm happy to read and find everything u have written shows how much u value her.

madhu is the godfather of blogging not only bloging but also managing friends of y360.i dont how much of u know she chats atleast with 100 of y360 friends daily and shares with them their happiness and sorrows.i feel i'm lucky and proud to get her as a sister.

i dont beilieve in those listing in interesting pages as divya said it makes us question wether some of them are worth in it.moreover we know about our madhu so not necessary for any listings.

i once again thankq for a wonderful blog.

  22. Swathi.. I appreciate your effort to come up with this blog.. and thank you very much for making a platform to thank madhu together from here. I had so many opinions about internet..
    1. Internet is a place to get information
    2. Use messengers, emails to communicate with your friends and save money on phone calls
    3. chat with unknown people, know about them but don’t reveal about your self.. they are all fake.
    4. Internet is for Porn

Don’t you feel all above statements are a bit selfish … but madhu changed my attitude completely.. she proved with her blogs that internet is not only to get some thing… but we can give some thing… she proved that if you share your feelings honestly …you can surly get real good friends in internet tooo…

Madhu …I just cant thank enough you for what ever you have done to me.. You are my inspiration to change my attitude in many things …you are Dronacharya for me too..

Once again the same.. “I am so Proud of You”

  23. This goes to Divya..

I think yahoo doesn’t have a team to sit and read every ones blogs about the content…. There must be an automated script which will pick come pages which have exceeded a particular number page hits…. may be then a team will read and select which are not having any content which is not worth of abusing….. I think so…
